Where and when to watch Honor Magic 3 global launch event

Honor will host a live-streamed product launch event later today, and we can expect to see the new Magic 3 smartphone line-up as well as Honor’s X20 phone, Honor Magic 3S watch, and Honor Tab V7 Pro.

Honor Magic 3 Series: Design, Specs, and Price Expectations

As of now, there are three versions of Honor Magic 3: a vanilla Honor Magic 3, Honor Magic 3 Pro, and the Honor Magic 3 Pro+. The Honor Magic 3 SE and Honor Magic 3 Pro Porsche Edition models are also rumored, however the information is limited.

For its display, the Honor Magic 3 series will adopt Huawei’s signature 3D curved waterfall display, which we’ve previously seen on Huawei flagships.

A 6.76-inch display panel with a 2772 x 1344 resolution hasn’t been verified, but it’s likely. You’ll find two cameras on the front, one of which is a structured light 3D face scanning solution.

Visionox’s on-screen camera technology may be included in the high-end Pro+ model. A real full-screen display may be found on the Magic 3 Pro+, as opposed to the other two models featuring punch-hole selfie cameras.

The circular camera housing is likely on the phone’s rear. Most likely, the smartphone will be available in Blue and Golden. As well as a white version, the Magic 3 will likely come in a variety of colours.

Live photographs of what appeared to be the Porsche Magic 3 were released online earlier today.

The Huawei Mate 40 Porsche Edition looked strikingly similar to the device in the photographs, but without the Porsche marking on the rear.

This means that Honor could offer this model as a special edition without a Porsche collaboration in the near future.

Magic 3 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, as well. According to a recent listing on AnTuTu, the Pro will also be available in 12GB + 256GB UFS 3.1 configurations.

On the other hand, the Magic 3 Pro and Pro+ could come with a penta-camera configuration at the back. In the vanilla Magic 3, the Periscope camera may be omitted, however the one on the Pro variants may offer up to a 100-fold increase in zoom.

For enhanced audio and video, the Honor Magic 3 will also be equipped with IMAX Enhanced audio and video. By using TVs and projectors, IMAX Enhanced offers the IMAX experience to the masses.

On HDR10+ displays, it supports 4K HDR videos with DTS audio. Magic 3 will be Honor’s first smartphone with IMAX enhanced, which offers an increased aspect ratio and immersive sound, according to Honor’s announcement.

Magic 3 phones will also come with Magic UI 5.0, according to Weibo tipster. HUAWEI’s HarmonyOS could be the basis for Magic UI 5.0, according to reports.

In addition to a 4400mAh battery, the Pro+ (and potentially the Pro) is claimed to have 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities. The Magic 3 may offer a 66W wired charging option that is a little slower.
