JIOPHONE NEXT is an anticipated Android smartphone designed by Reliance Jio and Google. There has been a leak of the phone’s specifications, which will be available in September.
On the other hand, JioPhone Next is rumored to run Android 11 (Go Edition) and have an HD+ display.
It was at Reliance Industries’ 44th Annual General Meeting that Chairman and CEO Mukesh Ambani declared the JioPhone Next would be the world’s cheapest smartphone.
Twitter user Mishaal Rahman revealed the details of the JioPhone Next along with a screenshot of the phone’s startup screen, which reads “JioPhone Next Created with Google.”
Model number LS-5701-J and Android 11 are claimed to be on the phone (Go Edition). A 720×1,440-pixel display and Qualcomm QM215 SoC could be found in the device.
Quad-core 64-bit mobile processor with Qualcomm’s Adreno 308 graphics processor. Low-end smartphones will benefit from its Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE modem with Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, up to 1080p video recording, and LPDDR3 RAM, as well as the eMMC 4.5 storage capacity.
A 13-megapixel camera will be on the back of the JioPhone Next, and an 8-megapixel camera will be on the front for selfies and video chats, according to Rahman. DuoGo may also be pre-installed on the phone, allowing for some low RAM optimizations.
An updated version of Google Camera Go with Snapchat integration is also pre-installed on the phone.
When it comes to price, Rahman says that the firms are looking for a sub $50 price tag, which means that the phone might cost under 4,000 rupees (US$60). Jio hasn’t revealed the price yet, but it’s set to go on sale on September 10.
