During the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, August 11, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Buds 2.
True wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds are the successor to the Galaxy Buds, which were released in February 2019.
In addition, they are an improvement over the Galaxy Buds+, which were released last year. This is a big improvement over the original Galaxy Buds. With the Galaxy Buds 2, Samsung has also improved the earphones and casing.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 features and specs.
There are two drivers in the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, a tweeter and a subwoofer. The earbuds have three microphones, two of which will be used for ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Samsung offers AKG-tuned audio as well.
There are certain differences between this earbud and the Galaxy Buds+ in terms of design, and the cover that comes with it reminds us of the Galaxy Buds Live. Another certification for splash and water-resistance is the IPX7 standard.
The Galaxy Buds 2 are equipped with Bluetooth v5.2. As an added bonus, the earbuds come with six distinct equaliser settings that you can adjust from your phone.
Including the charging case, the Galaxy Buds 2 are said to have a battery life of 29 hours, with the earbuds giving up to 7.5 hours of continuous playback. ANC, on the other hand, reduces the battery life to 20 hours when used.
The Galaxy Buds 2 have 61mAh batteries in each earpiece and a 472mAh battery in the cover. The earphones may also be charged in five minutes and last for an hour of listening time. In addition, Qi wireless charging is supported.
An accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and hall sensors, a touch sensor, and a speech pickup unit are all included in the Galaxy Buds 2. (VPU).
Each Galaxy Buds 2 is 17×20.9×21.1mm in size and weighs a total of 0.1 ounces.
Prices for the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2
Prices have been set at $149.99 for Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. (roughly Rs. 11,100). The earbuds will be available in select regions from August 27 in four different colours: Graphite, Lavender, Olive, and White.
Samsung has yet to reveal the Galaxy Buds 2’s price in India and its debut date.
The original Samsung Galaxy Buds cost $129 (approximately Rs. 9,600) when they were released in the United States. India received the earbuds at a cost of Rs. 9,990 (about $10).
However, the Galaxy Buds+ were priced at $149.99 (approximately Rs. 11,100) in the US and Rs. 11,990 in India when it was first released.
